My story with Kinesis
Why I got in back in 2019 — and stayed.
I am Vincent Gijbels. In the summer of 2019 my money was in an ordinary account — savings interest around 0%, a historic low, while inflation was almost 3% and rising. I went looking for a form of investment that did hold its value. ETFs on gold discouraged me — you have no right to the physical metal, only to a share in a trust. Keeping gold bars at home didn't seem like such a good idea to me either — no insurance, no liquidity, no yield. In September 2019 I opened my Kinesis account.
Four things came together for me that I didn't find elsewhere:
- protection against inflation via physical gold and silver in my name;
- being able to pay worldwide with my holdings via the Kinesis Visa card;
- staying liquid without loss of value on conversion (0% storage fees, 0.22% exchange rate);
- earning a monthly yield on my holdings — paid out in gold and silver, not in promises or in a separate token.
Each month the yield deposits are automatically credited to my holdings — in physical gold and silver.
